This particular Shabad in Bhai Nirmal Singh Ji’s voice has been a close companion in anxiety, high school math exams, and trying situations. I have always been reminded of letting go of control and the desire to execute every single aspect of my life the way I want it to happen. This painting reminds me that no matter how much I plan, life will happen in it’s own way, out of my control, in the most beautiful and growth inducing way. The best part of the reference picture taken by Ranbir Singh Cheema is the man in the foreground that seems to be in a deep silent conversation with God.
